Abstract An improved composite floorboard has a wooden veneer which is adhered to a structural substrate. The structural substrate has interlocking formations at opposite longitudinal sides of the floorboard, enabling adjacent floorboards to be interlocked together to form a floor covering. The structural substrate is made from plastic which preferably has a density greater than 1.5g/cm 3, and preferably includes a plurality of integrally formed longitudinal core flutes. Figure 1
