Bausano plans April 28 virtual demo of new extrusion line for medical uses
Turin, Italy — Basusano and Figli SpA will demonstrate a twin-screw extrusion line for medical applications in an April 28 livestream for U.S. and Canadian processors.
The MD Nextmover 125/25 twin-screw extruder is suited for extruding pipes, granules, wood plastic composites, profiles and materials used in the medical industry.
During the virtual event, Clemente Bausano, vice president of Bausano, will talk about the company's history, recent growth and product roadmap. Then, a technical team will introduce the next generations of the MD Nextmover and MD Plus lines, which have the company's patented Multi-drive branded technology that it says substantially reduces stress on motor shafts, gears and screws.
The demonstration team will show the MD Nextmover 125/25 extruder producing flexible PVC granules at levels of 800-1,000kg/h. The material is used to create medical tubing, wire and cable jacketing, flooring and plumbing, and more.
"Our online demonstration is an opportunity for U.S. and Canadian operators to see our newest offerings and hear how we're responding to the needs of customers in North America," Clemente Bausano said in a news release that describes the U.S. as the eighth largest plastics processing sector in the manufacturing world.
For the livestream, Bausano technicians also will explain different configurations for various production ranges and showcase the extruder's Smart Energy System, an innovative contactless cylinder heating system that delivers energy savings of up to 35 percent.
The demonstration will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
The virtual demonstration is scheduled for noon ET (11 a.m. CT/9 a.m. PT) April 28.

This fall, its twin-screw extrusion line will be installed in the showrooms of the company's reselling partners so that operators can see Bausano products in person.
